Experiment Instructions

In this experiment, you will watch videos of target people and report your impressions of them.

There are no right or wrong answers, so please provide your most honest response.

There is a progress bar on top that shows your progress. You will be given the opportunity to take a short break between videos if needed. Please do not take breaks when you are not prompted to do so.

Please enter full screen mode now and make sure your volume is turned on.

In each trial, you will first see a fixation cross. Please fixate your gaze at the cross.

Then, you will watch the video with the sound on. Please pay attention to the target person in the video.

Then, the video will stay on screen, and you will see a list of words.

 

Please select the words that describe your impressions of the person in the video. Please choose all the words that apply.

To select or unselect a word, just click on the word.

For each word that apply, you will provide ratings on a 7-point scale to indicate how much that word applies to the person.

• 1 = Describes the person a little
• 7 = Describes the person very well

 

Please enter your answer by pressing a number key 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 on the top row of your computer keyboard.

Clicking the numbers on the screen will NOT work.

Please pay attention to each task and each video, as we will track your response time, idle time, response qualities, based on which we approve your submission.

If you complete the task too fast, too slow, or carelessly, it might impact your approval rate.
